BC Deals with Gold for the Week of November 20th, 2018
Almost done with Minecraft Story, all eight episodes. One little part to go right before Thanksgiving and it will be done. I almost want to say thank goodness as these last two DLC have been a little torturous in story telling. Still playing Batman: Arkham Asylum and up to ole Croc now which is always a fun and usually punishing section. Actually, I’m finding myself also playing the 360 version when that’s my only option and applying a few of the techniques in the older version to mostly excellent results. There are some subtle differences between two, but it’s all minor and I can seamlessly go back and forth.
We have a few minor sales today, only one of which is actually a BC title. I’ve lost any hope for Raven or Worms becoming BC. That train I’m afraid has went down the track. I have bought a couple of things in the Black Friday sale which is ongoing. I finally caved in on Gyromancer after years of it only being 50% off. I also grabbed the first Costume Quest though it probably won’t be BC ever either. Enjoy your Thanskgiving week, I’ll be trying to do the same. Take care.

2018 BC Xbox Live Black Friday SALE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This should last until November 26th and much like a lot of things this year, I was not expecting it so freaking early. This will take me some time to get all of the prices there, but I wanted to go ahead and provide the full price list to everybody as soon as possible. I’m sure I will get a few things but probably I’ll hold off on some of it as I have PLENTY to play. But like they say, there is always room for more. Enjoy, more after the bump.

Final Fantasy XIII, XIII-2, and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII are part of Backwards Compatibility as of Today (11/13)!!!
Well, traditionally I’m following the Major’s account as he is the one that announces BC and then we all go yeahie or where the heck is my COD game (or currently Max Payne 3)? But this one was posted on Xbox’s twitter on the 10th. I actually own all three of these games, unopened, lol. I’m really not joking, it’s been a running joke that I usually buy all of the Final Fantasy games when they hit $20 only to never play them. Same thing with XV. The only one to my knowledge that I did not buy was the XIV, the online one. Been doing that since PS1. Anyway, enough of my shortcomings, this is great news. All of the games can be had for a reasonable price physically and all are available digitally (including XIII which was previously unavailable for a while). Maybe we’ll get another surprise at 11, but I’m guessing that this will be the announcement out of the Nelson camp today. Enjoy.
(All three Final Fantasy games are available on disc and should go for cheaper than their digital counterparts)
BC Deals with Gold for the Week of November 13th, 2018
Let’s see, last week I finished Episode 7 of Minecraft Story and just defeated the double Titan Henchmen in Batman: Arkham Asylum. Not much progress I know, but with holidays coming up I’m just cleaning up more or less. I plan on completely finishing Minecraft story by this time next week as we roll into Thanksgiving where I wish I was playing a game but probably won’t be able to.
This week and next is probably going to be slow until Black Friday anyway. But we do have a few oddball sales worth discussing. Hydrophobia is an odd one that’s only a $1 this week in that it is not backwards compatible but yet it’s a Microsoft published title. Also surprisingly its the other Sonic Racer, not this one that is BC. Stacking is probably worth picking up at that price if you don’t already own it. Else wise, just hang tight until the Black Friday sales roll in. Just keep in mind that if you are like me and look for the non-popular different titles, those rarely have BF sales worth talking about. Anyway, we’ll see what happens. Enjoy kids.

Tom Clancy’s EndWar & Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X. added to Backwards Compatibility!!
Well it is not exactly exciting news but these two were added today. I played a demo of Endwar once upon a time but was not really interested in it. It should be noted that there are no digital copies available for H.A.W.X. and the online services for EndWar do not work so there are unobtainable achievements. Fair warning. However, for those who want to revisit this game or find it in your local bargain bin (very likely I’ve seen both of these games in the $5 and under) you can feel safe knowing that you can give it on a shot on your Xbox One. Enjoy.
- Tom Clancy’s EndWar $19.99 (much cheaper as a physical copy)
- Free DLC: Veteran Map Pack
- DLC w/Achievements: Escalation Expansion Pack $4.99
- Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X. (not available digitally) (available physically for ~$5-$10)

BC Deals with Gold for the Week of November 6th, 2018
Welp, still Batman: AA and Minecraft Story on the ole playing front. Batman, I just defeated Harley again (about to go to the Gardens) and Minecraft Story I’m nearly done with episode 7. Episode 7 has been incredibly dull except for the whole Ghost in the Machine bit. Maybe I’m just worn out after seven episodes, not sure but it’s becoming quite a chore. But I have too much invested in it to not finish it. Sadly, I would probably play Season two if it was $5 or something.
Anyway, we have some sales this week though its meager at best. I mean at this point, who doesn’t have Mass Effect or Dragon Age that actually wants it? I keep hoping that Final Exam goes BC but it probably won’t happen anytime soon. I do think we will get a BC announcement today, but I know as soon as I type that, chances are we won’t. Welp, enjoy your week kiddoes.

Just Cause, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror Fate HD, and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 added to Backwards Compatibility!!!!
Now that’s a mouthful. A lot of games going to BC today. I only actual own Castlevania: Lords of Shadow in a nice little limited edition that I don’t think I ever opened, lol. But these are excellent games, and worthy addition to the BC library. Interesting note about Castlevania: LOS but there is a complete edition disc which include both pieces of DLC as well as Mirror of Fate HD. Something to consider if you want both of those games. Enjoy!

- Castlevania: Lords of Shadow (only available on disc)
