The Third Murder (Blu-Ray) Review
Finally, a Japanese courtroom drama. Amazing, excellent and worth watching more than once.

Fireworks (Blu-Ray) Review
This one was an interesting anime that I got to review.
Valley Girl (Collector’s Edition) (Blu-Ray) Review
Well since there will be no more BC releases for the rest of the year (I’m saddened too especially after they were doing so nicely the last few weeks), I figured I would go ahead and post out my review backlog from Upcomingdiscs.com. Enjoy.

The Darkness, The Bureau: XCOM DeClassified, and Duke Nukem: Forever added to Backwards Compatibility!!!
Well this is certainly an interesting pairing. I can’t say these three games really go together, however I do actually own all of them in disc form. Two of them are sadly sealed (Darkness and XCOM) so I might actually look into getting them digitally so I don’t have to open them up so to speak. The nice thing about all three of these is that they are Tekken 2 Tag Team specials in that they are also on sale. Be careful though, some of these have DLC, so pay attention to that (and they are not on sale). Enjoy folks.
- The Darkness $3.99 (normally $19.99) (also on disc)
- Free DLC: Darkness MP Map: DM_Haunt
- The Bureau: XCOM DeClassified $3.99 (normally $19.99) (also on disc)
- DLC w/Achievements: Hangar 6: R&D $4.99
- Duke Nukem: Forever $3.99 (normally $19.99) (also on disc)
- DLC w/Achievements: The Doctor Who Cloned Me $9.99
BC Games with Gold for the Week of December 4th, 2018
Sorry for the late post on this one, I was out until late yesterday so I didn’t have a chance to post what I usually do. Last week, I finished the main story to Batman: Arkham Asylum and got my riddles up to 85%. I have every intention to get 100% of the riddles and then move on to something else. I just hope I’ll be able to get all of them with as few hints as possible.
As it turns out, we do have some sales this week. I am going to go ahead and include the ones that went BC this week as they were our only sales anyway. I would recommend any of those three, especially at those prices. Enjoy your week, I’ll be trying to catch up.
GAME | CONTENT TYPE | DISCOUNT | PRICE |
---|---|---|---|
Duke Nukem Forever* | Games On Demand | 80% | $3.99 |

The Darkness* | Games On Demand | 80% | $3.99 |
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, Sonic Unleashed and Aliens vs Predator added the Backwards Compatibility!!!
Finally, freaking finally. Kingdoms of Amalur is in the BC wheelhouse. I was honestly expecting a remaster after THQ Nordic acquired the license from Electronic Arts. But no, I guess BC was in order instead. Maybe they really want to do a sequel instead, that would be nice. Anyway, also surprised to see Aliens vs Predator since it is a licensed movie game and I was not aware Sega would still have rights with that sucker. Sonic Unleashed is just making sure that all of the Sonic games are BC, I think Sonic 06 is the only one that is not at this point. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.
- Kingdom of Amalur $19.99 (cheaper on retail disc)
- DLC w/Achievements: Legend of Dead Kel $9.99
- DLC w/Achievements: Teeth of Naros $9.99
- Sonic Unleashed $14.99 (cheaper on retail disc)
- Aliens vs Predator $19.99 (about the same price on disc)
Games with Gold for Month of December 2018
Looks like the new Games with Gold were announced this morning. Pardon me if I think the Xbox One selections stink (which seems to be the case more often than not lately). I’ve already beat Never Alone a long time ago and I have little to no interest in Q.U.B.E. 2. With the 360 side, this is the first time I can remember an Xbox Original game given away for free. I’m glad I didn’t pay for it but I’m not sure I like the trend of using XBOs as Games with Gold bait. Dragon Age 2 is probably the only shining light in this group. Merry Christmas Everyone ??$@*^! Enjoy kids.
Xbox One
- Q.U.B.E. 2 (December 1st-31st)
- Never Alone (December 16th – January 15th)
Xbox 360
- Dragon Age II (December 1st-15th)
- Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction (XBO) (December 16th-31st)
BC Deals with Gold for the Week of November 27th, 2018
As mentioned last week, I had finished Minecraft Story. I’m almost glad to be done with it, it had some good moments story telling wise, but otherwise it did not live up to the other Telltale games I’ve played like Borderlands or Batman. I made quick work of Virtua Fighter 2 late last week and then I’ve playing Batman: Arkham Asylum steadily since then. I’m about to fight the Titan Ivy Plant and then it is on to Joker before cleaning up riddles. It’s been a real fun ride the second time around with that game and I might just go ahead and dive into Arkham City or Origins next.
We don’t have many sales this week. Mars: War Logs is the cheapest it’s been by about 50 cents and if for some reason you don’t have it, I would get it for the story if nothing else (because the fighting is a mess). I know it’s a long shot but I still wish they would put L.A. Noire on BC even though I own it on both systems. It is a possibility that the Sniper series gets the nod eventually. Anyway, have a fun week….we will probably have GWG announcement at some point this week, so enjoy.

BC Deals with Gold for the Week of November 20th, 2018
Almost done with Minecraft Story, all eight episodes. One little part to go right before Thanksgiving and it will be done. I almost want to say thank goodness as these last two DLC have been a little torturous in story telling. Still playing Batman: Arkham Asylum and up to ole Croc now which is always a fun and usually punishing section. Actually, I’m finding myself also playing the 360 version when that’s my only option and applying a few of the techniques in the older version to mostly excellent results. There are some subtle differences between two, but it’s all minor and I can seamlessly go back and forth.
We have a few minor sales today, only one of which is actually a BC title. I’ve lost any hope for Raven or Worms becoming BC. That train I’m afraid has went down the track. I have bought a couple of things in the Black Friday sale which is ongoing. I finally caved in on Gyromancer after years of it only being 50% off. I also grabbed the first Costume Quest though it probably won’t be BC ever either. Enjoy your Thanskgiving week, I’ll be trying to do the same. Take care.

2018 BC Xbox Live Black Friday SALE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This should last until November 26th and much like a lot of things this year, I was not expecting it so freaking early. This will take me some time to get all of the prices there, but I wanted to go ahead and provide the full price list to everybody as soon as possible. I’m sure I will get a few things but probably I’ll hold off on some of it as I have PLENTY to play. But like they say, there is always room for more. Enjoy, more after the bump.
